No machine is needed. The counter runs in the browser of a computer, tablet or phone. A barcode scanner is optional: any USB or Bluetooth scanner that types like a keyboard works. For printing, use a 58 mm or 80 mm thermal printer or any A4 printer set up on your device; bills print through the browser. You can also send the bill on WhatsApp instead of printing it.

No. The counter needs an internet connection, because each bill goes straight into your accounts. If the connection drops while you are taking payment, the sale is retried safely and is never billed twice.
